Resident & Service User Involvement
 
Arena Options Limited has a Resident & Service User involvement framework to take Arena Options forward together with its Residents & Service Users. It takes the form of the following model:

Resident & Service User Involvement
Each of the service areas that operate within Arena Options has very distinct needs and therefore each service area has its own panel to consider issues pertinent to them. Each service panel nominates key people to sit on the overall Options Resident & Service User Panel. This central panel has responsibility to oversee the implementation of our Resident & Service User involvement strategy. This panel is serviced by our Executive Team and Board Members allowing Residents & Service Users access to the senior management and decision making process within the organisation. They bring together common concerns from each Service Panel and maintain trends that require intervention from staff to rectify.

Service Panels have a real say in how Arena Options operates and have a clear agenda to cover specific issues relating to their individual service area, as follows:
  • They review all complaints and compliments for their area
  • They are the best value challenge group for any best value review taking place within their area – or an external challenge group to assist another service area
  • They review feedback from any surveys carried out within this area
  • They consider the performance of maintenance surveys and the planned works programme for their area
  • They oversee the service development plan for their area
  • They work closely with the board member buddy appointed to their service area

There are two other key tasks allocated to Service Panels concerning the Newsletter and ‘Service Panel’ grants.

There are three Newsletters for Options issued every year. Each of the service areas is allocated their own pages and the Service Panel is the editorial group for its own page. The remaining pages are controlled by the central Options Panel so that we can bring you news of what is happening generally with Options.

Secondly, each Service Panel is allocated a sum of money from the Service Panel Grant to which Residents, Service Users & staff from that service area can apply. For more information please go to the Service Panel Grant page where you will find out how to apply.
